On a CentOS Linux box, when I run the following: df-h. I get that vg_name-1v_root is at 100%. Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on. /dev/mapper/vg_name-lv_root 12G 12G 0 100% /. When I drill down to /dev/mapper it looks like this vg_name-1v_root is a soft link to ../dm-0.

Just have the movement serviced. And no polishing of the case. The seconds hand might be able to be replated but you might be better off getting a close match replacement - ask whichever watchmaker you choose for their advice.
The 520 is a circular lever movement with excellent swan neck regulator and has an extra bridge to accommodate the centre seconds configuration and was a well made and robust movement that had a relatively short life span. It was made at the Marc Favre factory, which Omega had purchased and integrated into its operations in 1955.
I know the movement's reference is 1959 but I'm struggling to find the case reference in the Omega vintage db.
